About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Electronics Technician to join their expanding service and development team in Nottingham . This hands-on role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining complex electronic systems within vehicles. You will work with cutting-edge diagnostic equipment and be involved in both troubleshooting existing issues and supporting the integration of new electronic technologies. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of automotive electrical systems, exceptional diagnostic skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality service. Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electronic and electrical issues in vehicles using advanced diagnostic tools.
- Perform repairs and replacements of electronic components, including ECUs, sensors, wiring harnesses, and infotainment systems.
- Install and integrate new electronic systems and features into vehicles.
- Conduct performance tests and calibration procedures for electronic modules.
- Maintain accurate service records and document all repair and diagnostic procedures.
- Stay updated with the latest automotive electronic technologies and diagnostic techniques.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Automotive Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as an automotive technician with a specialization in electronics.
- Proficiency with diagnostic scan tools, oscilloscopes, and multimeters.
- Strong knowledge of automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN bus).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
