Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Electronics Technician to join their team in Nottingham . This hands-on role is essential for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining the complex electronic systems found in modern vehicles. You will work with cutting-edge diagnostic equipment and have a deep understanding of automotive electrical circuits, sensors, and control modules. This full-time, on-site position is ideal for a technician passionate about automotive technology and committed to delivering high-quality service in a professional workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair faults in automotive electronic systems, including infotainment, navigation, and driver assistance systems.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and wiring diagrams to identify issues.
- Perform repairs and replacements of electronic components, modules, and wiring harnesses.
- Install and configure aftermarket electronic accessories and systems.
- Conduct software updates and calibrations for various vehicle electronic control units (ECUs).
- Maintain accurate records of diagnostic procedures, repairs performed, and parts used.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Automotive Electronics Technician or a similar role.
- Relevant vocational training or certification in automotive electronics.
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, CAN bus communication, and electronic diagnostic procedures.
- Proficiency with diagnostic software and electronic testing equipment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Full UK driving license required.
