About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Automotive Manufacturing Process Engineer to join their production facility in Norwich . This role is essential for optimizing manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring the highest quality standards in the production of automotive components. You will analyze existing operations, identify areas for improvement, and implement innovative solutions to enhance productivity and reduce costs. This is a key position within the manufacturing operations, contributing significantly to the company's success in the Norfolk region's automotive supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize existing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Develop and implement new manufacturing processes and technologies.
• Design and conduct experiments to validate process improvements and troubleshoot production issues.
• Create and maintain process documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Collaborate with design engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to ensure seamless product introduction and manufacturability.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement strategies to achieve manufacturing targets.

Requirements

• Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Process Engineer in the automotive manufacturing sector.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma).
• Proficiency in process simulation, data analysis, and CAD software.
• Experience with various manufacturing techniques and equipment relevant to the automotive industry.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
