About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented Automotive Mechanical Engineer to join their innovative product development team based in Coventry . Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test mechanical components and systems for automotive applications using CAD software.
• Perform stress analysis , thermal analysis, and other simulations to validate designs under various operating conditions.
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure the seamless integration of components into the production line.
• Investigate and resolve mechanical issues encountered during prototype testing and post-production phases.
• Contribute to the research and development of new materials and technologies for automotive applications.
• Prepare technical documentation, including design reports, specifications, and manufacturing instructions.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive mechanical design and development.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) and CAE tools for simulation and analysis.
• Strong understanding of automotive systems, including powertrains, chassis, and suspension.
• Experience with material selection, manufacturing processes, and quality control in an automotive context.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing remote and in-office collaboration.
