About the Role

Our client, a renowned entity in the automotive manufacturing sector, is actively seeking an experienced Automotive Mechanical Engineer to join their esteemed team in Birmingham . This role is crucial for the design, development, and testing of automotive components and systems, contributing directly to the creation of high-performance vehicles. You will work within a state-of-the-art facility, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of experts to innovate and refine mechanical designs. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems for vehicles, utilizing CAD software such as CATIA or SolidWorks.
• Conduct stress analysis , thermal analysis, and other simulations to validate designs and ensure performance and durability.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are optimized for production feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and execute test plans for component and system validation, analyzing results and implementing improvements.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for project reviews and stakeholders.
• Investigate and resolve mechanical issues encountered during product development or in production vehicles.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in automotive mechanical design and development.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks) and CAE tools for simulation.
• Strong knowledge of materials science, manufacturing processes, and automotive standards.
• Experience with vehicle dynamics, powertrain, or chassis systems is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
