About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Automotive NVH Engineer to join their dedicated team in Bristol . This crucial role involves managing and mitigating noise, vibration, and harshness issues across vehicle systems to ensure a premium driving experience. You will conduct detailed analysis, testing, and develop solutions to enhance vehicle refinement and customer satisfaction. This position offers a significant opportunity to work on challenging NVH problems within a supportive and collaborative engineering environment, contributing directly to product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform NVH analysis and testing on vehicle components and systems, identifying sources of noise and vibration.
- Develop and implement engineering solutions to reduce or eliminate unwanted noise and vibration in vehicles.
- Utilize advanced measurement tools and simulation software (e.g., LMS Test.Lab, ANSA, NASTRAN) for NVH analysis.
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to integrate NVH considerations early in the development process.
- Document test results, analysis findings, and proposed solutions in detailed technical reports.
- Support vehicle launch activities, ensuring NVH targets are met for production vehicles in Bristol .
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Acoustics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive NVH engineering.
- Strong knowledge of acoustics, vibration theory, and psychoacoustics.
- Proficiency with NVH measurement and analysis tools and techniques.
- Experience with FEA and BEM (Boundary Element Method) for acoustic simulations is desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a hands-on laboratory and vehicle environment.
