About the Role
Our client is looking for a meticulous and thorough Automotive Quality Control Inspector to join their team in Edinburgh . This role is essential in ensuring that all vehicles leaving the workshop meet the highest standards of quality and safety. You will be responsible for conducting detailed inspections, identifying any defects or non-compliance, and ensuring that all repairs and servicing are performed to exacting specifications. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) and post-repair quality checks on vehicles.
- Identify and document any cosmetic or mechanical defects, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Verify that all service and repair work has been completed correctly and to manufacturer specifications.
- Ensure vehicles are clean and presented to the highest possible standard before customer collection.
- Report inspection findings clearly and concisely to the Service Manager and relevant departments.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a quality control, inspection, or similar role within the automotive sector is advantageous.
- A strong understanding of vehicle components, common faults, and repair processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify subtle imperfections.
- Good communication skills and the ability to provide clear, objective feedback.
