Automotive Quality Inspector

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Automotive Quality Inspector to join their manufacturing facility in Derby . You will be responsible for ensuring that all manufactured automotive parts and assemblies meet stringent quality standards and specifications. This role is critical in maintaining product integrity and customer satisfaction for components supplied across the Derbyshire region and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods.
• Utilize various measuring instruments and testing equipment to verify product quality.
• Identify defects and non-conformities, documenting findings accurately in quality control reports.
• Work closely with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant quality standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 9001).

Requirements

• Previous experience in a quality control or inspection role, preferably within the automotive industry.
• Familiarity with quality control tools and techniques (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
