About the Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join their dealership in Edinburgh . This is a key customer-facing role, acting as the primary point of contact for customers bringing their vehicles in for service or repair. You will be responsible for understanding customer needs, accurately booking appointments, explaining required work, and ensuring a seamless service experience. Excellent communication and organizational skills are vital for success in this demanding yet rewarding position.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly, understand their vehicle service or repair needs, and book appointments efficiently.
• Accurately interpret and relay technical information from technicians to customers in an understandable manner.
• Generate service quotes, explain costs, and gain customer authorization for work to be carried out.
• Manage the service diary and workshop loading, ensuring efficient use of technician time.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain customer records and follow up on completed work to ensure satisfaction.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably within the automotive industry.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and listening skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
