Automotive Service Advisor

About the Role

Our client is looking for a customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join their dealership in Sheffield . This role is the primary point of contact for customers bringing their vehicles in for service and repair. You will be responsible for greeting customers, accurately documenting their concerns, advising on necessary services, and managing the flow of work through the service department. Excellent communication and organizational skills are paramount for this customer-facing role, ensuring a positive experience for clients and seamless operation of the service center in Sheffield .

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and professionally upon arrival at the service center.
• Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately record vehicle service needs.
• Provide clear explanations of recommended services and repairs, along with estimated costs.
• Generate service orders and manage appointment scheduling for the workshop.
• Liaise effectively between customers and the workshop technicians to ensure clear communication.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints efficiently and courteously.
• Upsell additional services and products where appropriate and beneficial to the customer.

Requirements

• Previous experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or in a similar customer-facing role.
• Strong understanding of automotive terminology and repair processes.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in using dealership management systems (DMS) and basic computer applications.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• A professional appearance and a positive, proactive attitude.
