About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Automotive Systems Integration Engineer to join their expanding team in Leeds . This role is crucial for ensuring the seamless integration and functionality of diverse electronic and mechanical systems within vehicles. You will be responsible for defining interfaces, resolving interdependencies, and verifying the correct operation of integrated systems, ensuring that all components work harmoniously to deliver a superior driving experience and meet stringent performance benchmarks. Key Responsibilities

• Define and manage system interfaces and integration requirements for various automotive subsystems, including powertrain, chassis, ADAS, and infotainment.
• Develop and execute integration test plans and procedures to verify the correct functioning of interconnected systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, working closely with subsystem engineers and suppliers to implement effective solutions.
• Analyze system performance data and identify areas for optimization and improvement.
• Create and maintain detailed integration documentation, including schematics, interface control documents, and test reports.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical input on system architecture and integration strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in automotive systems engineering, with a strong focus on integration and testing.
• Proficiency with systems engineering tools and methodologies (e.g., SysML, MATLAB/Simulink).
• Experience with vehicle communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) and diagnostic tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex technical challenges.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different engineering disciplines.
