Aviation Compliance Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and thorough Aviation Compliance Manager to oversee regulatory adherence for their operations in Cambridge . This pivotal role involves ensuring that all company activities, policies, and procedures align with national and international aviation regulations. You will lead a team responsible for auditing, reporting, and implementing compliance strategies, working closely with regulatory bodies and internal departments. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of the aviation regulatory landscape and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of operational integrity within the UK aviation sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive compliance programs and policies aligned with CAA, EASA, and other relevant aviation regulations.
• Conduct regular internal audits and assessments to identify compliance gaps and areas for improvement.
• Manage the relationship with regulatory authorities, facilitating inspections and responding to inquiries.
• Oversee the documentation and reporting requirements for all compliance-related activities.
• Lead and mentor a team of compliance officers, fostering a strong compliance culture throughout the organization.
• Advise senior management on regulatory risks and strategic compliance initiatives impacting the business.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Law, Business, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., IATA) are a plus.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in aviation compliance , regulatory affairs, or safety management.
• In-depth knowledge of UK and international aviation regulations (e.g., EASA Part-M, Part-145, Safety Management Systems).
• Proven experience in developing and implementing compliance frameworks and audit programs.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with a knack for negotiating with regulatory bodies.
