About the Role

Our client is seeking a vigilant and skilled Aviation Cybersecurity Analyst to join their expanding team in Nottingham , working in a hybrid capacity. You will play a critical role in safeguarding the organization's digital infrastructure, flight systems, and sensitive data from cyber threats. This position requires a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, network security, and the specific vulnerabilities within the aviation sector. You will be responsible for monitoring security alerts, conducting vulnerability assessments, and developing strategies to enhance the overall cybersecurity posture, ensuring the integrity and security of vital aviation IT systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for potential threats.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on aviation IT systems and networks.
• Develop and implement cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Respond to security incidents, conduct forensic analysis, and implement remediation measures.
• Stay abreast of emerging cybersecurity threats and trends relevant to the aviation industry.

Requirements

• Proven experience in cybersecurity analysis or a related IT security role.
• Strong knowledge of network security, cryptography, and threat detection techniques.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
• Experience with security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
• Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CompTIA Security+) are highly desirable.
