Aviation Quality Assurance Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly organized Aviation Quality Assurance Manager to lead their quality control and assurance efforts at their facility in Edinburgh . This role is pivotal in ensuring that all maintenance, repair, and operational activities meet stringent regulatory standards and internal quality benchmarks. You will oversee the quality management system, conduct audits, manage non-conformance reporting, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of aviation quality standards and a proven ability to foster a culture of quality and compliance across the organization. This is a critical leadership role requiring strong oversight and commitment to excellence in a safety-sensitive industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the organization's Quality Management System (QMS) in line with EASA Part 145 and other relevant aviation regulations.
• Conduct internal audits of all departments to ensure compliance with procedures, regulations, and quality standards.
• Oversee the process for non-conformance reporting, investigation, and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Manage and mentor the Quality Assurance team, ensuring adequate resources and training are provided.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities (e.g., CAA) during external audits and inspections.
• Champion a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement throughout the organization, driving aviation safety to the forefront.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in aviation quality assurance or management roles, preferably within an MRO environment.
• In-depth knowledge of EASA Part 145, Part M, and other relevant aviation regulatory requirements.
• Experience in developing and implementing QMS, conducting audits, and managing CAPA processes.
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with safety management systems (SMS) and risk management principles.
