About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Aviation Quality Inspector to join their team in Leeds, West Yorkshire, UK . This role is integral to upholding the highest standards of quality and compliance within their aviation maintenance operations. You will be responsible for inspecting aircraft, components, and maintenance processes to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company quality standards. The position requires a thorough understanding of aviation regulations and a keen eye for detail, with a flexible approach that balances on-site inspections with remote review of documentation and quality assurance data.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of aircraft, engines, components, and maintenance work carried out by maintenance personnel.
- Verify that all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with approved data, technical manuals, and regulatory requirements.
- Review and approve maintenance records, work orders, and compliance documents.
- Identify non-conformities and deviations from standards, reporting them to management and initiating corrective action processes.
- Ensure that tools, equipment, and facilities used for maintenance meet required standards and calibration requirements.
- Participate in internal and external audits to assess compliance with quality management systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Aviation Quality Inspector or in a similar quality assurance role within the aviation industry.
- Solid understanding of aviation regulations (e.g., EASA Part-145, Part-M) and quality management systems.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, drawings, and maintenance documentation.
- Excellent observational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication and reporting skills, capable of documenting findings clearly and concisely.
- Relevant certifications or licenses in aviation maintenance and quality assurance are advantageous.
