About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Remote Aviation Compliance Officer to ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and standards within the aviation industry. Operating remotely, you will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and managing compliance programs that meet national and international aviation authority requirements. This position demands a thorough understanding of regulatory frameworks and the ability to translate complex legal and technical stipulations into actionable operational procedures. You will contribute significantly to the company’s safety record and operational integrity, working independently while collaborating closely with various internal departments and external regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive aviation compliance programs and policies across the organization.
- Conduct regular internal audits and assessments to ensure adherence to aviation regulations, safety standards, and company procedures.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, such as the CAA, EASA, and FAA, managing inspections, submissions, and responses to inquiries.
- Investigate compliance issues, non-conformities, and safety occurrences, recommending and implementing corrective actions.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on regulatory requirements and compliance best practices.
- Keep abreast of changes in aviation legislation and regulations, assessing their impact and ensuring timely adaptation of company policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Significant experience (5+ years) in aviation compliance , regulatory affairs, or safety management within the aviation sector.
- In-depth knowledge of international and UK aviation regulations (e.g., EASA Part-M, Part-145, AOC requirements).
- Demonstrated ability to conduct audits, analyze regulatory requirements, and develop compliance strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using compliance management software and standard office productivity tools.
