About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and knowledgeable Aviation Safety Inspector to join their regulatory compliance team in Cardiff . This role is crucial for ensuring adherence to aviation safety standards and regulations across various aviation operations within the region. You will conduct rigorous audits, inspections, and investigations to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively. This position requires a strong understanding of aviation law, safety management systems, and operational procedures, working to uphold the integrity and safety of the aviation sector in Wales . The role offers a unique opportunity to influence safety culture and practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct scheduled and unscheduled inspections of aircraft, maintenance facilities, and operational procedures.
- Assess compliance with national and international aviation safety regulations and standards.
- Investigate safety incidents, accidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and recommending preventative measures.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs and awareness initiatives to aviation personnel.
- Review and approve safety management systems documentation and procedures.
- Prepare detailed reports on inspection findings, risk assessments, and corrective action plans.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in aviation operations, maintenance, or regulatory compliance.
- Strong knowledge of EASA/UK CAA aviation regulations and safety management principles.
- Proven ability to conduct thorough inspections and investigations.
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in an aviation-related field or equivalent experience.
