About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous and experienced Aviation Safety Inspector to join their team in Sunderland . This critical role involves overseeing and enforcing aviation safety regulations, conducting inspections of aircraft, operators, and facilities to ensure compliance with national and international standards. You will play a key role in maintaining the highest levels of safety within the aviation industry, identifying potential hazards, and implementing corrective actions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of aviation law and a proactive approach to safety management.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of aircraft, maintenance organisations, and flight operations to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Investigate aviation accidents and incidents, gathering evidence and preparing detailed reports.
• Develop and implement safety management systems and procedures for aviation organisations.
• Provide guidance and training to aviation professionals on safety regulations and best practices.
• Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance and safety enhancement.

Requirements

• Significant experience in aviation operations, maintenance, or regulation.
• Hold a recognized Aviation Safety Inspector qualification or equivalent.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant aviation legislation and safety standards (e.g., EASA, CAA regulations).
• Excellent analytical, report-writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to conduct site visits and inspections independently.
