About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and knowledgeable Aviation Safety Inspector to uphold and enhance safety standards within their operations in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, UK . This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with aviation regulations and internal safety policies through regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments. You will be instrumental in fostering a proactive safety culture, identifying potential hazards, and implementing corrective actions to mitigate risks. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive safety audits and inspections of aircraft, facilities, and operational procedures.
• Assess compliance with national and international aviation safety regulations and standards.
• Investigate incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and recommending preventative measures.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs to employees across various departments.
• Maintain accurate records of all inspections, audits, investigations, and safety-related documentation.
• Promote a strong safety culture by engaging with staff and encouraging reporting of hazards and concerns.

Requirements

• Proven experience in an aviation safety -focused role, such as safety inspector or safety manager.
• In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations (e.g., EASA, CAA) and safety management systems (SMS).
• Strong analytical and investigative skills, with the ability to identify systemic issues.
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
• Relevant certifications in aviation safety or quality management are highly desirable.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team in Sunderland .
