About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and knowledgeable Aviation Safety Inspector to contribute to their safety oversight operations in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is critical in ensuring compliance with aviation regulations across a range of operators and facilities. You will conduct inspections, audits, and investigations to identify potential safety hazards and ensure adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of aviation safety principles and regulations, coupled with strong analytical and reporting skills. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and targeted inspections of aircraft, maintenance facilities, and operational procedures.
- Investigate aviation incidents and accidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Audit operator compliance with aviation regulations and company safety policies.
- Prepare detailed reports on inspection findings, non-compliance issues, and safety recommendations.
- Collaborate with aviation stakeholders, including operators, regulatory bodies, and internal teams, to promote a strong safety culture.
- Stay current with evolving aviation regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
Requirements
- Relevant degree or qualification in aviation, engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Aviation Safety Inspector or in a similar safety-focused aviation role.
- In-depth knowledge of national and international aviation regulations (e.g., EASA, CAA).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify safety trends.
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel occasionally within the UK and potentially internationally.
