Aviation Safety Manager

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Aviation Safety Manager to champion and oversee safety initiatives within their operations based in Milton Keynes . This role is pivotal in developing, implementing, and managing the organisation's safety management system (SMS). You will be responsible for fostering a robust safety culture, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with all national and international aviation safety regulations. The successful candidate will have a proactive approach to safety, driving continuous improvement and minimizing risks across all aviation activities, working both on-site and remotely as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Safety Management System (SMS).
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and hazard analyses for all operational activities.
• Investigate safety incidents and occurrences, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Promote a positive safety culture through training, communication, and engagement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with relevant aviation safety regulations (e.g., EASA, CAA).
• Prepare safety reports and present findings to senior management and regulatory bodies.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in aviation safety management, preferably in an airline or MRO environment.
• In-depth knowledge of aviation safety regulations and best practices, including SMS principles.
• Proven ability to conduct effective risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant professional qualifications in aviation safety or a related field.
