About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Aviation Safety Manager to lead their safety initiatives from their operational hub in Plymouth . This senior role is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive safety management systems to ensure the highest standards of aviation safety across all operations. You will champion a strong safety culture, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with all relevant aviation safety regulations. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the organization's Safety Management System (SMS).
• Conduct hazard identification, risk assessment, and mitigation planning for all aviation activities.
• Oversee incident and accident investigations, ensuring thorough root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs to all levels of staff.
• Monitor regulatory changes and ensure ongoing compliance with all national and international aviation safety standards.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in aviation safety management , with a strong understanding of SMS principles.
• Proven track record in risk management, hazard analysis, and safety auditing.
• Knowledge of relevant aviation regulations (e.g., EASA, CAA).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills.
• Ability to analyze complex data and develop effective safety strategies.
