Aviation Safety Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Aviation Safety Manager to lead their safety initiatives from a fully remote capacity. This critical role involves developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive safety management systems (SMS) across the organization's aviation operations. You will be instrumental in fostering a proactive safety culture, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, and driving continuous improvement in safety performance, all while working effectively within a distributed team environment. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the organization's Safety Management System (SMS), ensuring it meets or exceeds all relevant aviation regulations.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, hazard identification, and safety audits across all operational areas.
• Investigate aviation safety incidents and occurrences, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs and awareness campaigns to all relevant personnel.
• Monitor safety performance indicators (SPIs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on trends to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with all national and international aviation safety regulations and standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience in aviation safety management, with a strong understanding of SMS principles.
• Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of ICAO Annex 19 , EASA, and FAA safety regulations.
• Demonstrated experience in risk management, incident investigation, and safety auditing.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively remotely.
