Aviation Safety Officer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Aviation Safety Officer to enhance safety management systems at their operations hub in Wolverhampton . This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring safety policies and procedures across all aviation activities. You will conduct risk assessments, investigate incidents, and promote a strong safety culture throughout the organization. This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent analytical skills, and a deep understanding of aviation safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive aviation safety management systems (SMS).
• Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
• Investigate aviation incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs to all personnel.
• Promote a proactive safety culture through communication and engagement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with national and international aviation safety regulations.

Requirements

• Significant experience in aviation safety management.
• Thorough knowledge of aviation regulations (e.g., EASA, CAA).
• Experience in conducting incident investigations and risk analysis.
• Strong understanding of safety management systems (SMS) principles.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and report-writing skills.
• Relevant aviation qualifications or degree.
