Aviation Safety Officer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and proactive Aviation Safety Officer to enhance safety management systems within their operations in Glasgow . You will play a crucial role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating aviation safety risks, promoting a strong safety culture, and ensuring compliance with all relevant aviation safety regulations. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the organization's Safety Management System (SMS).
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across various aviation operations.
• Investigate safety incidents, accidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Promote safety awareness and a positive safety culture through training and communication initiatives.
• Monitor safety performance indicators and prepare regular safety reports for management review.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure compliance with all aviation safety legislation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Safety Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in aviation safety management, risk assessment, and incident investigation.
• Strong knowledge of ICAO standards, EASA regulations, and other relevant aviation safety frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, requiring both on-site presence in Glasgow and remote engagement.
• Professional safety certifications (e.g., CSP, CSMP) are highly desirable.
