Aviation Security Officer

About the Role

Our client is seeking vigilant and disciplined Aviation Security Officers to join their team at Leeds Bradford Airport . You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining robust security measures to ensure the safety of passengers, staff, and assets within the airport environment. This role requires a high degree of professionalism, situational awareness, and adherence to strict security protocols. You will be at the forefront of airport security operations, working in a critical environment to prevent threats and ensure the smooth and secure flow of air travel, contributing to national security.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct security screening of passengers, baggage, and cargo using advanced screening equipment.
• Patrol airport premises to ensure a secure environment and deter potential threats.
• Respond to security incidents and emergencies in a timely and effective manner.
• Monitor surveillance systems and report any suspicious activities.
• Enforce airport security regulations and control access to restricted areas.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and other security agencies as needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a security-related role, preferably within aviation or a similar high-security environment.
• SIA Security Guarding license or equivalent certification.
• Excellent observational skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Strong understanding of security procedures and threat assessment.
• Physical fitness and the ability to stand for extended periods.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
