Aviation Security Officer

About the Role

Our client is looking for vigilant and professional Aviation Security Officers to ensure the safety and security of passengers, staff, and assets at their facility in Derby, Derbyshire, UK . In this critical role, you will be responsible for implementing security protocols, screening individuals and baggage, monitoring surveillance systems, and responding to security incidents. You will contribute directly to maintaining a secure environment within the aviation sector, working in a dynamic and fast-paced operational setting. This position requires a strong sense of responsibility and adherence to strict security procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct screening of passengers, baggage, and cargo using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other security equipment.
• Monitor CCTV systems and security feeds, identifying and reporting any suspicious activities or potential threats.
• Patrol airport premises and operational areas to ensure the safety and security of the facility.
• Respond effectively to security alerts, incidents, and emergencies in accordance with established protocols.
• Enforce airport regulations and assist passengers and staff, providing a secure and welcoming environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a similar role is advantageous.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain relevant security clearances and background checks.
• Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with diverse individuals.
• Ability to remain calm and act decisively under pressure, adhering to strict security procedures and protocols in the Derby area.
