Aviation Security Officer

About the Role

Our client, a leading provider of aviation services, is seeking a vigilant and professional Aviation Security Officer to join their team at a key facility in Reading . This role is essential for maintaining the highest standards of security across airport operations, ensuring the safety of passengers, staff, and assets. You will be responsible for implementing and enforcing security protocols, conducting patrols, and responding to security incidents. This is a critical position within the aviation sector , requiring a high degree of integrity and alertness, based in Berkshire.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct security screenings of passengers, baggage, and cargo in accordance with aviation security regulations.
• Perform regular patrols of airport premises, including terminal buildings, airside areas, and perimeter fences.
• Monitor surveillance equipment and respond promptly to any security alerts or breaches.
• Enforce airport access controls and identify unauthorized personnel or prohibited items.
• Assist with security investigations and provide support to law enforcement agencies when required.

Requirements

• Previous experience in security , preferably within an airport or aviation environment.
• Possession of a valid SIA license or willingness to obtain one.
• Thorough understanding of aviation security legislation and best practices.
• Excellent observation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with the public and colleagues.
