Aviation Security Officer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a vigilant and responsible Aviation Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of passengers, staff, and assets at facilities near Cambridge . In this role, you will be at the forefront of maintaining a secure environment, conducting screening, patrols, and responding to security threats in accordance with strict aviation security protocols. You will play a critical part in safeguarding the airport and its operations against potential risks. This position requires integrity, excellent observation skills, and the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct passenger and baggage screening using X-ray scanners and other security equipment.
• Perform security patrols of terminal buildings, aircraft, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor CCTV systems and respond to any suspicious activities or security breaches.
• Enforce security regulations and procedures, challenging unauthorized access or behaviour.
• Assist in responding to security incidents and emergencies, following established protocols.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and airport authorities as required.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a security, policing, or military role is advantageous.
• Ability to pass stringent background checks and security clearance.
• Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical fitness to perform patrols and stand for extended periods.
