Our client is looking for a talented Avionics Engineer to join their operations based in Glasgow . This role is integral to the design, development, integration, testing, and maintenance of aircraft electronic systems and equipment. You will be working with cutting-edge avionics technology, ensuring the seamless operation of navigation, communication, flight control, and other critical systems. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and integrate avionic systems and components for new aircraft and upgrades.
- Perform testing and validation of avionics systems, ensuring compliance with performance and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and repair complex avionics hardware and software issues.
- Prepare technical documentation, including installation guides, test procedures, and maintenance manuals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including systems engineers, software developers, and airframe manufacturers.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in avionics technology and industry best practices.
- Support flight testing and operational deployment of avionics systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Avionics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in the design, integration, and testing of avionics systems .
- Strong understanding of aircraft electronic systems, including navigation, communication, radar, and flight control systems.
- Proficiency with avionics test equipment and diagnostic tools.
- Experience with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., DO-178C, DO-254).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
