Avionics Systems Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly qualified Avionics Systems Engineer to join their engineering team, offering a fully remote working arrangement with occasional site visits to their Norwich location. This role will involve the design, integration, testing, and certification of avionics systems for various aircraft platforms. You will be instrumental in developing state-of-the-art solutions, ensuring seamless functionality and compliance with stringent aviation standards. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of avionics principles and a proven track record in complex aerospace engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate avionic systems, including communication, navigation, and flight control systems.
• Conduct system testing and validation, troubleshooting issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Develop system requirements, specifications, and test procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, including software and hardware developers.
• Ensure all designs and installations meet relevant aviation regulations and certification requirements (e.g., EASA, FAA).

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Significant experience as an Avionics Systems Engineer in the aerospace industry.
• Proficiency with avionics systems, including ARINC protocols, software-defined radios, and flight management systems.
• Experience with systems engineering processes and tools.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage complex technical projects.
