About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Avionics Systems Engineer to contribute to their innovative aviation projects based in Belfast . This role involves the design, integration, testing, and certification of complex avionics systems, ensuring cutting-edge technology is implemented safely and effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate avionic systems, including communication, navigation, flight control, and mission systems.
• Perform system testing, validation, and verification to ensure compliance with performance and safety requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to avionics hardware and software.
• Collaborate with software developers, hardware engineers, and certification authorities.
• Prepare technical documentation, including system specifications, test plans, and reports.
• Support aircraft modification and upgrade programs , ensuring seamless integration of new avionics systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in avionics systems design and integration.
• Knowledge of avionic communication protocols (e.g., ARINC 429, AFDX) and standards.
• Familiarity with DO-178C and DO-254 standards for software and hardware development.
• Experience with simulation and testing tools for avionics systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
