Our client is seeking a skilled Avionics Systems Technician to join their operational team based in Milton Keynes . This role is crucial for the maintenance, repair, and installation of complex electronic systems on aircraft. You will work with a variety of avionic equipment, ensuring its optimal performance and compliance with strict aviation standards. Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of avionic systems and components.
- Conduct functional tests and calibrations of avionic equipment, including communication, navigation, and flight control systems.
- Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams to diagnose and resolve system faults.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with approved data, regulations, and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities performed.
- Collaborate with flight crews and other maintenance personnel to address avionic issues promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Avionics Technician or similar role in the aviation industry.
- Strong understanding of avionic systems, including navigation, communication, and auto-pilot systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and tools specific to avionics.
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical documentation, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Relevant aviation maintenance certifications (e.g., EASA Part 66) are highly desirable.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills with a commitment to quality workmanship.
