Band 5 Community Nurse – Evening & District Nursing Night Service

Vivid Healthcare are currently recruiting Band 5 Community Nurses to support the Evening and District Nursing Night Service across Gloucestershire.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Community Nurse looking for consistent overnight shifts , working as part of a supportive two-person team alongside a Healthcare Assistant.

The Role

You will provide high-quality nursing care to patients across the county of Gloucestershire during the night, working alongside an HCA who will be responsible for driving.

The role will involve travelling between patient homes and providing safe, effective and compassionate care throughout the overnight period.

Shift:

22:00 – 08:00

Base:

Gloucester

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients within their own homes
• Assess, plan and deliver appropriate patient care
• Administer medication and treatments as required
• Monitor patients and identify any changes in condition
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records
• Work effectively alongside the HCA and wider community nursing team
• Respond appropriately to urgent and changing patient needs
• Maintain professional standards and patient confidentiality

Requirements

• Valid NMC registration
• Previous experience working as a Community Nurse / District Nurse
• Experience providing care within patients' homes
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and confidently overnight
• Enhanced DBS or willingness to complete one
• Right to work in the UK
• Ability to commit to 22:00–08:00 overnight shifts
