About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and charismatic Bar Manager to oversee all aspects of a busy bar operation in Derby . You will be responsible for managing bar staff, controlling inventory, developing drink menus, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining a vibrant and safe atmosphere. Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily bar operations, ensuring smooth service and excellent customer satisfaction.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise bar staff, fostering a positive and motivated team.
• Oversee inventory control, including stocktaking, ordering, and minimizing waste.
• Develop and update beverage menus, including seasonal specials and signature cocktails.
• Ensure compliance with all licensing laws and health and safety regulations.
• Manage bar budget, track sales, and implement strategies to increase revenue.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Bar Manager or Assistant Bar Manager in a high-volume environment.
• Strong knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, mixology, and wine.
• Excellent leadership, customer service, and communication skills.
• Experience with inventory management and stock control systems.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• A responsible attitude towards alcohol service and staff management.
