BMS Design Manager

On behalf of one of the UK's leading main contractors, Pinnacle Recruitment is seeking an experienced BMS (Building Management Systems) Design Manager to play a key role in transforming how buildings perform throughout their lifecycle.

Working across a major regional buildings portfolio, you'll drive the integration of smart technologies, optimise building performance, and help deliver data-driven, sustainable solutions on some of the region's most complex and innovative projects.

What you'll be doing

• Leading the delivery of Building Management Systems across multiple regional buildings projects

• Managing BMS design development, coordination and technical assurance activities

• Working collaboratively with clients, consultants, supply chain partners and project teams

• Overseeing BMS commissioning, testing and handover processes

• Ensuring integration with HVAC, lighting, energy management, security and life safety systems

• Supporting digital building strategies, smart building initiatives and sustainability objectives

Who we're looking for

• Proven experience in BMS design, controls engineering, or building automation systems

• A track record of managing complex BMS design projects within industrial, commercial or critical environments

• Strong understanding of HVAC controls, energy management systems, smart buildings and integrated building technologies

• Knowledge of industry-standard BMS platforms and control systems

• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and engineering standards

• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills

• A degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering or a related discipline

• Professional accreditation or membership of a relevant engineering institution is desirable
