Bar Manager

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Bar Manager to oversee the beverage operations at a popular venue in the vibrant city of Bristol . This role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of customer service, managing bar staff, controlling inventory, and creating an exceptional guest experience. You will be instrumental in developing innovative drink menus, maintaining stock levels, and fostering a lively and welcoming atmosphere. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology, strong leadership skills, and a keen understanding of bar operations and financial management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of bar operations, including staffing, service, inventory, and cash handling.
• Develop and maintain creative and appealing drink menus, including cocktails, wines, and spirits.
• Lead, train, and motivate bar staff to deliver outstanding customer service and product knowledge.
• Conduct regular inventory checks and manage stock levels to minimize waste and ensure availability.
• Ensure compliance with all licensing laws, health, and safety regulations.
• Create and implement strategies to drive bar revenue and enhance customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Bar Manager or Assistant Bar Manager.
• Strong knowledge of mixology, spirits, wine, and beer.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
• Experience with inventory management, cost control, and P&L reporting for bar operations.
• Ability to obtain a Personal Licence to sell alcohol.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required in Bristol .
