Working within a small, supportive team, you will be responsible for testing, measuring and assessing the performance of precision-engineered components.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out final testing of air bearing spindles against customer-specified parameters. Perform static testing and electrical running tests, checking vibration levels and overall spindle performance. Use dial indicators, electronic measuring equipment and other precision engineering instruments to measure components to sub-micron levels. Assemble components and carry out detailed inspection and measurement. Identify faults, investigate performance issues and undertake rework where required. Maintain consistently high standards of quality, accuracy and attention to detail. Support colleagues with a variety of engineering and workshop activities to help achieve weekly production targets. What I Am Looking For:

Good mechanical and electrical aptitude, ideally gained within an engineering, manufacturing or technical environment. Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality. Confidence working with measuring equipment or a willingness to learn precision measurement techniques. A practical, methodical approach to testing, assembly and fault finding. A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a small team. Flexibility to assist with different tasks when required. Previous air bearing spindle experience would be beneficial but is not essential. Formal engineering qualifications are not essential for candidates with the right practical aptitude. Why Consider This Opportunity?

Full training provided in specialist air bearing spindle testing. Opportunity to develop highly specialised precision engineering skills. Varied, hands-on work involving assembly, testing, measurement and fault finding. The chance to become a valued member of a small, collaborative engineering team.I am particularly interested in speaking with candidates who take genuine pride in the quality of their work. Precision and attention to detail are absolutely essential for this position, and the successful Bearings Technician will need to demonstrate a careful, consistent and methodical approach.
