BIM Coordinator - Architectural Projects

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and technically proficient BIM Coordinator to join their established architectural practice in Cardiff . This critical role will be responsible for overseeing and implementing Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes across a range of architectural projects. You will ensure the integrity, accuracy, and effective use of BIM data throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with architects, technologists, and external consultants. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of BIM standards and workflows, with a passion for driving efficiency and collaboration through digital technologies. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) for various architectural projects.
• Ensure all project team members adhere to BIM standards, protocols, and workflows.
• Coordinate and federate models from various disciplines (architectural, structural, MEP) to identify clashes and resolve issues.
• Conduct regular model audits and quality control checks to maintain data integrity.
• Provide training and support to project teams on BIM software and processes.
• Manage the central model and associated project data, ensuring efficient information exchange.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a BIM Coordinator or BIM Manager, preferably within an architectural or construction environment.
• Expertise in Autodesk Revit and Navisworks, with a strong understanding of BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650).
• Familiarity with various design disciplines and their integration within a BIM environment.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively manage and mentor project teams on BIM best practices.
