About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Bioinformatician to join their cutting-edge Genomics Analysis team, operating remotely. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement computational pipelines for the analysis of next-generation sequencing (NGS) data.
- Perform statistical analysis and interpretation of genomic and transcriptomic data.
- Identify and validate novel genetic variants, biomarkers, and therapeutic targets.
- Collaborate with experimental teams to design genomics studies and interpret results.
- Develop and maintain custom scripts and software tools to facilitate genomic data analysis.
- Contribute to the scientific literature and present findings at relevant conferences.
Requirements
- PhD or Master's degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in bioinformatics , particularly with large-scale genomic data analysis.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with relevant bioinformatics tools and databases.
- Strong understanding of statistical methods and genomics principles.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently in a remote environment.
