Biology Teacher | East Birmingham

£170-£220 per day | November 2026 Starts | Flexible & Long-Term Opportunities

Are you a qualified Biology Teacher looking for a fresh opportunity after October half-term?

Aspire People is recruiting Biology specialists for secondary schools across East Birmingham, with teaching opportunities available from Monday 2 November and throughout the remainder of the academic year.

Whether you're looking to secure a long-term teaching position, build your experience through supply or simply reduce your daily commute, we'd be interested in hearing from you.

We're particularly keen to connect with teachers based around Small Heath, Bordesley Green, Yardley, Stechford, Washwood Heath and surrounding areas.

What Opportunities Are Available?

We recruit for daily supply, short-term cover, regular weekly bookings and long-term Biology teaching positions, alongside potential permanent opportunities.

Depending on your experience and the school's requirements, assignments may involve delivering general Science across KS3, GCSE Biology and Combined Science at KS4, or A Level Biology at KS5.

Longer-term roles may include planning, marking, assessment, practical investigations and preparing pupils for their GCSE and A Level examinations.

Who Are We Looking For?

You will need QTS or QTLS, strong Biology subject knowledge and the confidence to deliver engaging lessons within a secondary school environment.

We're interested in teachers who can make scientific concepts accessible, maintain positive classroom routines and adapt their teaching to support pupils with different abilities and learning needs.

Strong behaviour management, reliability and a professional approach are essential.

We welcome applications from experienced Biology Teachers and Early Career Teachers, including those looking to secure their first substantial teaching assignment.

Why Work With Aspire People?

We offer competitive daily rates of £170-£220, weekly pay and access to secondary teaching opportunities across East Birmingham and the surrounding areas.

Whether you prefer occasional supply days, a consistent weekly timetable or a full-time long-term assignment, we'll work with you to identify suitable opportunities.

Our secondary recruitment team will take your availability, preferred locations and subject specialism into account when discussing potential placements.

If you're a qualified Biology Teacher available after October half-term or considering a new opportunity, apply today or contact Josh at Aspire People to discuss your options.
