Biomedical Scientist - Immunology Research

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Biomedical Scientist to join their leading research group focused on Immunology in Sunderland . This hands-on laboratory role will involve conducting critical experiments to investigate immune responses, disease mechanisms, and potential therapeutic targets. You will work as part of a collaborative team within a well-equipped research facility, contributing to projects aimed at improving human health through a deeper understanding of the immune system.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and perform immunological assays, including ELISA, Western blotting, flow cytometry, and cell-based assays.
• Isolate and culture primary immune cells and cell lines for experimental use.
• Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and contribute to scientific reports and presentations.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues to achieve project goals and contribute to a positive research environment.

Requirements

• MSc or Ph.D. in Immunology, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Science, or a related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with a range of immunological techniques.
• Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a laboratory setting.
