Biostatistician - Pharmaceutical Research

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Biostatistician to join their innovative pharmaceutical research and development team in Oxford . This role is integral to the design and analysis of clinical trials, ensuring the statistical validity and integrity of research data. You will collaborate with clinical scientists, data managers, and medical writers to translate study objectives into robust statistical analysis plans and interpret complex findings. Key Responsibilities

• Design clinical trials, including sample size calculations, randomization schemes, and statistical analysis plans (SAPs).
• Perform statistical analysis of clinical trial data using statistical software (e.g., SAS, R).
• Interpret statistical results and provide input into clinical study reports (CSRs), publications, and regulatory submissions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure appropriate statistical methodology is applied throughout the drug development process.
• Review and provide statistical input on protocols, case report forms (CRFs), and data management plans.
• Stay abreast of new statistical methodologies and regulatory guidelines relevant to pharmaceutical research.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Proven experience as a Biostatistician in the pharmaceutical industry or a contract research organization (CRO).
• Strong proficiency in statistical programming languages such as SAS or R.
• In-depth knowledge of clinical trial design and statistical analysis techniques.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a hybrid team setting in Oxford .
