About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly analytical Biostatistician to join their advanced research and development division, operating with a hybrid model supporting their Oxford base. You will be instrumental in designing clinical trials, analyzing complex datasets, and interpreting statistical results to support drug development and regulatory submissions. This role demands a strong statistical foundation and the ability to collaborate effectively with clinical scientists, medical writers, and project managers to drive research forward.
Key Responsibilities
- Design clinical trial protocols, including sample size calculations and statistical analysis plans.
- Perform statistical analysis of clinical trial data using SAS, R, or other statistical software.
- Interpret statistical results and prepare high-quality statistical reports and summaries for internal use and regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with clinical operations and data management teams to ensure data integrity and quality.
- Provide statistical expertise and guidance to cross-functional project teams.
- Stay current with advancements in statistical methodologies and their application in pharmaceutical research.
Requirements
- Master's or PhD degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Biostatistician in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Proficiency in statistical programming languages such as SAS, R, or Python.
- Strong understanding of clinical trial design, data analysis, and regulatory guidelines (e.g., ICH E9).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, able to articulate complex statistical concepts to non-statisticians in Oxford .
