Biostatistician

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and analytical Biostatistician to join their clinical development team, working remotely to support projects across the South West England region. You will play a critical role in the design, analysis, and interpretation of clinical trial data, ensuring the statistical integrity of studies and supporting regulatory submissions. This position requires a deep understanding of statistical methodologies applied to pharmaceutical research and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities

• Provide statistical expertise in the design of clinical trials, including sample size calculations and protocol development.
• Develop statistical analysis plans (SAPs) for clinical studies.
• Perform statistical analyses of clinical trial data using appropriate software (e.g., SAS, R).
• Interpret statistical results and contribute to the preparation of clinical study reports (CSRs) and regulatory submission documents.
• Collaborate with clinical investigators, data managers, and other project team members to ensure data quality and appropriate analysis.
• Stay current with advancements in biostatistical methodologies and their application in pharmaceutical research.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in biostatistics within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Proficiency in statistical software packages such as SAS, R, or similar.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial methodology and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, EMA).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote setting.
