About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Blockchain Data Scientist to join their innovative team in Cambridge . In this role, you will leverage data analytics and machine learning techniques to extract insights from blockchain data, supporting decision-making for cutting-edge projects in the Crypto & Blockchain sector. You will work with large, complex datasets to identify trends, build predictive models, and optimize blockchain operations. This position offers a flexible working arrangement, incorporating both remote and office-based options, fostering collaboration and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and process large volumes of blockchain data from various sources.
- Develop and implement machine learning models for pattern recognition, anomaly detection, and predictive analytics.
- Analyze on-chain and off-chain data to identify market trends, user behavior, and protocol performance.
- Visualize data and present complex findings in a clear and actionable manner to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to define data requirements and integrate analytical solutions.
- Stay current with advancements in data science, machine learning, and blockchain analytics.
Requirements
- Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist with expertise in analyzing large datasets.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages like Python or R, and data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
- Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
- Familiarity with blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies, including data structures and on-chain metrics.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for a hybrid work environment in Cambridge .
