About the Role
Our client is looking for a talented Blockchain Engineer to join their core protocol development team in Glasgow . You will be at the forefront of building and enhancing the foundational layers of new blockchain networks, focusing on performance, security, and decentralization. This role is ideal for an engineer passionate about distributed systems and eager to tackle complex challenges in consensus mechanisms, network layers, and cryptographic primitives. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy core blockchain protocol components and features.
- Implement and optimize consensus algorithms and networking layers for scalability and security.
- Contribute to cryptographic research and implementation for enhanced security.
- Collaborate with researchers and engineers to define and implement protocol upgrades.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in languages such as Go, Rust, or C++.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in software engineering, with a demonstrable focus on blockchain development or distributed systems.
- Proficiency in one or more systems programming languages like Go, Rust, or C++.
- Solid understanding of cryptography, distributed systems, and network protocols.
- Experience with peer-to-peer networks and consensus mechanisms.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
