Blockchain Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and adaptable Blockchain Engineer to contribute to the development of innovative decentralized solutions from their Southampton office. You will be involved in the full software development lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to implementation and deployment of blockchain-based products. This role is ideal for an engineer passionate about distributed ledger technology and eager to make a mark in the rapidly growing crypto and blockchain sector. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain blockchain networks and associated applications.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code for smart contracts and decentralized applications.
• Integrate blockchain technologies with existing systems and third-party services.
• Participate in the design and architecture of new blockchain features and protocols.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of blockchain solutions to ensure reliability and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 2+ years of professional experience in software development, with at least 1 year focused on blockchain technologies .
• Proficiency in programming languages relevant to blockchain development (e.g., Go, Rust, Solidity, Python).
• Understanding of distributed ledger technologies, consensus mechanisms, and cryptography.
• Experience with one or more blockchain platforms (e.g., Ethereum, Hyperledger, Solana).
• Familiarity with smart contract development and deployment.
