About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and organised Bookkeeper to manage their financial records. This part-time role offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement, allowing for a blend of remote work and essential office presence in Edinburgh . You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial data, processing transactions, and assisting with financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles to support the company's financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate ledgers, including sales, purchases, expenses, and payroll.
- Process daily financial transactions, such as invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts regularly.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and other regulatory filings.
- Assist with the preparation of management accounts and financial reports.
- Manage petty cash and ensure proper record-keeping for all transactions.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency with bookkeeping software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage).
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data management.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a hybrid setup.
- Strong communication skills for interaction with clients and colleagues.
