About the Role
Our client is seeking a reliable and experienced Bookkeeper to manage their financial records for their operations in Brighton . This part-time, hybrid role offers a flexible schedule, combining in-office work with remote working opportunities. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with financial reporting. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the general ledger, including posting journal entries and performing reconciliations.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Manage payroll processing and related submissions.
- Prepare VAT returns and other statutory filings.
- Assist with the preparation of management accounts and financial statements.
- Liaise with external accountants and auditors as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency in bookkeeping software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a hybrid team.
